COUNTRYSIDE CHILDREN’S CENTER *
Countryside Children’s Centers 2025/26 priority applications for currently enrolled children and incoming kindergarteners will occur March 24th through April 11th.
Countryside Children’s Center (CCC) is a private after-school program that rents space from Newton Public Schools (NPS) and the City of Newton. We serve children in grades K-5 from Countryside Elementary, Angier Elementary, and Zervas Elementary. CCC is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and operates with a licensed capacity of 102 children at our Countryside Site and 52 children at our Upper Falls Site (Emerson Community Building). The EEC mandates a 13:1 child-to-staff ratio based on licensed capacity, not daily attendance.
CCC offers full-time, four-day, and three-day schedule options. Due to high demand and a growing waitlist, we no longer offer a two-day schedule as of 2024.
Current families are guaranteed a spot as long as they enroll for at least three days per week. Families requesting additional days will be given priority if space allows.
For incoming kindergarteners, CCC can accept 17 children at the Countryside Site and 8 at the Upper Falls Site. Priority will be given to those needing full-time care. Families accepted into the program full-time who later request to reduce their days before the start of the year will be placed on the waitlist.
